Karen and Rick's Beach Wedding in Indianola

September 15 2012

Karen and Rick are WA firefighters and had planned their beach wedding in the quaint little town of Indianola.
The location of this wedding was so incredibly beautiful. It was such a perfect day for a beach wedding, not a cloud in the sky... it truly was a wonderful sunny day.
Sally and I set about draping the ceremony arbor with a hop's garland, in a nod to Rick's love of brewing and then set off to the reception site at the Indianola Club House.
During her initial consultation, our bride-to-be, gave Sally shells and rocks from the beach in Costa Rica where they had gotten engaged and asked her to incorporate them into the reception table decor.
Karen's bouquet was designed by Sally with white calla lilies and bear grass, hand tied in burlap. As a surprise, Sally attached one of the sand dollars from Lisa's shell cachet to the stem wrap. The perfect beach bouquet!
Apparently, the married couple draped their boat with the hops garland which they sailed all the way to the San Juan Islands for their honeymoon........
Recycle, reuse, reduce!
