Bailey and Michael's Wedding at Lake Wilderness Lodge

What an honor it was to be asked to create a bridal bouquet for one of my favorite girls in the world!Bailey's family and our family have been friends for 12 years now, how fantastic is that? I have watched this tom-boy, hockey-playing girl blossom into THE most beautiful woman. I can hardly believe she is old enough to be getting married!

Her older brother, Cole, made it a whole Blackwood family celebration by obtaining leave from his job in the military in time for Bailey and Michael's big day.

When we met for floral our consultation I was so excited to meet the man of her dreams, Michael...what a cutie-pie he is, adorable. I am sure there are going to have a wonderful life together. My best wishes to both of them.
With her color palate already chosen, dress swatches and photographs from magazines in hand (all neatly laid out in the pages of her wedding folder), I had a feeling Bailey knew exactly what she wanted in her bridal bouquet.

She did!..Calla lilies, lots and lots of calla lilies, in various shades of purple and cream!

NW Budget Brides Wedding Show

My friend and collegue, Eileen O'Neill-Pardo had a booth at the North West Budget Brides inaugrural wedding show this past Sunday and I went along to help with set up and to spell her when she needed a potty break...

We had the models from the bridal show do a bit of modelling for us!

Carleta and Jeff's Wedding at Trophy Lake Golf Club

When Carleta and I met for her first floral consultation she said she had admired the bride's bouquet with feathers that I had showcased at the West Sound Wedding Show in January, that was a great starting point for me as a designer. We discussed shape and size, added her wedding color palate of red and champagne, flower choises of roses and stargazer lilies and we had the makings of a beautiful bouquet.

On the day of the wedding, the Jeff's sister's baby and one of the flower girls were placed in the red wagon and pulled down the aisle ahead of Carleta scattering white rose petals everywhere! Just beautiful...

Mary and Keith's Wedding at the Four Seasons

I worked with Eileen O'Neill-Prado of Modern Mood Designs on this wedding and had so much fun! The bridal party colors were eggplant, copper and white and the bouquets had an ethereal feel to them. The table centerpieces were a reflection of the beautiful Pacific Northwest style.

Heather and Dan's Wedding at the Yacht Club

"We are finally tying the knot after 8 years, 1 house, 2 kids, 3 cars,a boat and a camper"!
When Dan sent me the link to their wedding web site and I read this, I just knew this was going to be a fun couple to work with. No fuss, no drama and a whole lot of laughter!
Heather asked me to design a classic bridal bouquet for her and mentioned "if possible, with some stephanotis in it". This was a indeed a classic bouquet with white roses, peach and tangerine ranunculus and some beautiful white stephanotis nestled gently in between.

Dana & Kory's Wedding at The Olympic Lodge

Kory had just arrived back from active duty in Iraq when we met to discuss flowers for their wedding! Dana was so organized, she knew exactly what she wanted for the foyer statement piece, tall white branches with pink spray roses and crystal accents and gerbera daisies for the bouquets and boutonnieres!

Bob & Theresa's Top of the Hilton Wedding

Eileen, Sally and I decorated the Top of the Hilton in an 'English Country Garden' style, floral decor in burgundy, antique pink and white roses. The Bridal bouquet consisted of Black Magic roses; Theresa loves dragonflies so we added a sparkling diamante dragonfly from Bouquet Jewels!
